Ingredients
  

  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Method
 

  1. In a large, microwave-safe mug, whisk together the milk and oil.
  2. In a separate small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the mug and whisk until the batter is smooth with no lumps.
  4. Stir in or sprinkle the chocolate on top.
  5. Place the mug on a plate and microwave for 70 seconds. Let cool for a minute before enjoying.

Notes

For a gooier cake, you can reduce the initial cook time slightly. If it's not cooked enough after 70 seconds, continue microwaving in 10-second increments until done. Ensure your mug holds at least 1.75 cups to prevent overflow.
