- In a large, microwave-safe mug, whisk together the milk and oil.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the mug and whisk until the batter is smooth with no lumps.
- Stir in or sprinkle the chocolate on top.
- Place the mug on a plate and microwave for 70 seconds. Let cool for a minute before enjoying.
Notes
For a gooier cake, you can reduce the initial cook time slightly. If it's not cooked enough after 70 seconds, continue microwaving in 10-second increments until done. Ensure your mug holds at least 1.75 cups to prevent overflow.
